2020 Paddlefest
River Leadership Camp with
RVA Paddle Sports
July 2020
Through our partnership with RVA Paddle Sports, owned and operated by Patrick Griffin, some of our boys took to the water to learn survival skills, water safety, and have a great time this summer. Over the course of the three-day River Leadership Camp the boys paddled a stretch of the James by canoe, inflatable kayak, and raft. Daily, participants took on daily job roles and made executive decisions on behalf of the group. Throughout the week, wilderness and sierra rescue-certified staff assisted the boys in expert paddle instruction, knowledge on river ecology, and safety skills, including CPR Certification! Thank you to RVA Paddle Sports!
